Since we are looking at alternatives depending on the Walid proposal and
"just do pure UTF-8" is an alternative, could someone kindly post a
simple list of the reasons they feel "Just do pure UTF-8" is *not* a
valid alternative. I am still not convinced that we should not just use
pure UTF-8.
