I'm curious as to the distinction between an activity engaged in by two or three IETF participants, two of whom happen to co-chair a Working Group, and an I-D author, and a 3rd-party IPR claimant, and the process Dave described, in which some number of IETF participants engage in an activity with a 3rd-party IPR claimant. The process docuent cite(s) depricating the first, and promoting the second, or distinguishing between the first and second, will be interesting reading. Eric
