Okay, maybe I can help clarify this a bit. What Yoneya is trying to say here
is that in Japanese, 'L' and 'R' are pronounced the same way. RACE and LACE
basically sound the same in Japanese (or if you transliterate it into
Katakana, it is written the same way.)

Perhaps it is a bad choice for names. Perhaps we should consider a different
name for it ;-)
