--- Start of Idrisi List message Hi Folks: SHAPEIDR: I have a point shape file in ArcView that I imported using SHAPEIDR. This results in the idrisi vector file and an mdb file with the same fields as in the shape file plus an IDR_ID field. Help says that this conversion process requires that I make the mdb by converting the shapefile's dbf and adding the IDR_ID field (fill range etc.). Should I be making this file or just using the one idrisi spits out on it's own. INTERPOL: I want to create a DEM from this vector idrisi point file but after several attempts (using the mdb SHAPEIDR created or my own as dictated in help, making sure that the mdb is comprised of IDR_ID field and an elevation field only, making sure that the elevation filed is an integer (two byte) field, making sure that environment is set to use mdb files as the values files etc etc.) and I get the following error: "numeric value read not valid" How do you tell idrisi where the elevation data is? i.e. which field of your values file if you have more that the idr_id field ???? Any suggestions? Many thanks for any help you may provide *********************************************************** Michael Collyer, B.Sc.(Eng.)
