The helpful response from the Clark Labs/Idrisi Project/Tammy Woodard 
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> says the following: 

> Idrisi for Windows v.2 does import BSQ data.  The module to use is PARE.  In
> IFW v.2, it only offers 4bit & 8-bit data import, but you can trick it to
> import 16-bit data by doubling the # of columns you tell it to import, then
