Hello,
I am a university student working on a project involving remote sensing of
deciduous forests. A graduate student and myself have encountered a problem
while analysing images of the forest areas and have not been successful in
finding a solution within our immediate resources.
On remote sensing images acquired with a 1 meter resolution hyperspectral
sensor, individual trees cast shadows on the nearby canopy, which hinders
the classification of the image. We have yet to find a way to �remove�
shadows from the images.
Did anyone come across similar problem? Any solution that could be
implemented in Idrisi?
