--- Start of Idrisi List message THANKS FOR HELP FROM Chunling Liu (Clark Labs Technical Support) (1) MY PROBLEM: Dear Idrisi list, maybe it is a easy problem, compared to windows 2000, but i have problems importing shapefiles. also that doesn't sound too new to idrisi user ears, but i havn't found this problem in the list. If i am importing for example the shape file 'c:\user\in.shp' in idrisi to the idrisi-vector-file 'c:\user\out.vct', the import module terminates with the following message: 'Input File C:\user\out.vct.idr_id not found'. Sometimes thats all and the shape file is imported, sometimes the module stops and i have to kill the application. If there are any suggestions to this problem i would be very gratefull. greetings from munich and i will sum christian strobl ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ (2) THE ANSWER: Dear Christian, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, we are aware that there is a problem with running SHAPEIDRS as you mentioned. It can solved if you put both the input file and output file in working folder or resource folder. Anyway, just do not use brower to locate or save a file in a folder other than working folder or resource folder. Hope this will help.
