Hello, Under RFC 8730 <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc8730>, the Internet Architecture Board (IAB <https://www.iab.org/>) is responsible for appointing the Independent Submissions Editor (ISE <https://www.ietf.org/about/groups/ise/>). The IAB is seeking community input on the capabilities, attributes, and expectations it should consider when selecting a future ISE.
This survey is not an evaluation of the current or past ISE, nor is it a vote on the Independent Stream model itself. Your responses will inform the IAB’s thinking as it develops criteria for evaluating future candidates. The appointment of the ISE remains an IAB decision.
