I have to agree. Same goes for the forwarding part.

Mostly just reiterating what you've just said, but yes - senders should not really get a direct say about if and how their letters may be forwarded. Such wishes**will be ignored, because they will conflict with the wishes of the recipients, demands like "must not be duplicated" (as said in the mail before yours) would not be practically usable. It could be a sender preference, but I think we have "Precedence: Bulk" for those purposes anyways and any other cases are not for the sender to suggest.
