I see my messages get a dkim=pass for my signature when they come back 
from the (few) mailing lists I'm subscribed to that don't remove 
signatures, because of the "l=". That is to say, IME it works as 
advertised.

As for signing MIME messages, I agree DKIM is broken, because it is 
legal to alter even the MIME preamble. The discussion on a 
MIME-compatible canonicalization algorithm has been moved to ASRG, and 
I look forward to going about it in the near future.
