In particular, it doesn't seem misused to me, according, e.g., to wikipedia's definition[1] Feedback loop - the causal path that leads from the initial generation of the feedback signal to the subsequent modification of the event and its application to email[2]. What "already common" acceptation do you mean? For MLMs, there is a tradition of equating a feedback signal to an unsubscribe request, thereby preventing the possibility to use a list-specific FBL for cooperative list maintenance.
