I consider it merely an example of our over-sucess. It used to be that
only people who actually had a clue were able to get as far as finding and
joining a mailing list.
Unfortunately, with the advent of point-and-drool interfaces, any kloobie
or pointy haired boss can get on a mailing list these days.
The obvious end product is well described in C.M. Kornbluth's "The Marching
Morons". (I think it was Kornbluth, anyhow.. If it wasn't, just lump me
in the pool ;)
