James, Please review the recent process that took place when a working group chose to censor a posting and to direct all complaints to poisson. Although it was incorrect to direct the complaints to the working group, a spontaneous and productive dialogue took place about the censorship. There was no IESG involvement or approval of the topic. >I don't consider having one open, general, mailing list an issue versus >having two (poised and ietf). it is an issue because one of them is not "general". poisson is specific to IETF formalities. ietf is general. the difference is significant. d/ ---------- Dave Crocker <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Brandenburg InternetWorking <http://www.brandenburg.com> tel +1.408.246.8253; fax +1.408.273.6464
