Thanks for the quick responses.

So, assuming that is enough actual Fae activity that superstition
would be more prevalent than IRL, what I'm looking at is the family
and friends keeping any details to themselves, so while tongues wag
and speculation is rampant (did she go mad? Did she have a lover in
Wexford? She's well-preserved, isn't she? Shockin', shockin'), there
will be little buzz to outsiders -- and perhaps not to most of the
younger crowd, either. After all, the elders would probably keep such
scandalous notions to themselves, and the kids wouldn't care about the
doings of the oldsters. If it does get out to interested parties --
pagans, UFO hunters or whatever -- it could well become a problem. I
would wonder what the priest would have to say about it -- I guess
that would depend on how much he believes in faeries and such. I
don't think Colleen would tell exactly what happened or mention the
fae, but if the man is local and knowledgable in such things he could
probably guess. Are priests local, or does the church move them far
from their old home?

BTW, the involved PC (Gavin, a werewolf) is the only child of Siobhan,
the woman who fled. The killer werewolf was Gavin's father. Siobhan
died 20 years later, and the boy followed some old letters back to his
mother's home.

Thanks again,

FBM
