This was exactly what I thought.
I tend to broadly agree with Fergal...
I've just read a dozen mails on this (some of them rather long) and don't
really want to add to the...pile of...words...
Not to mention the fact that the last con I was at was at least a couple of
years ago.
I think that if expected standards were higher and enforced a little more (in
my experience they never really were...) then a lot of the "problems" above
would be solved.
Nearly everyone commenting on this here is older and has been around longer
than me though...which means they're not the current con-running mainstay
(though I'm a little out of touch so could be wrong).
