Slashcode has had a MUCH better track record. Of course, it is also 
somewhat heavier. I started looking into what it would take to install 
slashcode on fiasco, but the process didn't take off because of lack of 
time, and Debian's inability to get a release out the door.

I also somehow think that even the Israeli community is better served by 
my work on Hebrew support for WINE than on trying to get slash to do Hebrew.
