Hi all!

1. I set up the web-service on iglu.org.il. Not all of the applications
above it are working yet, though, but I'm working on it.

2. It seems that one cannot do any outgoing web connections out of iglu:

<<<
$ telnet www.cpan.org 80
Trying 63.251.223.164...

[gets stuck]

It seems to be the case for FTP and other things as well.

Why do you need outgoing connection?

For once, I need to download stuff from a CPAN mirror. If you can whitelist a the servers required for CPAN, it would be nice.

Isn't IGLU a cpan mirror?

Personally, I have not yet looked for the mirrors. If you know what partitions they are on, please let me know.

Shlomi - please try not to install things not available through apt.

If you absolutely HAVE to install things not in Debian main, this has to be documented. We have to know what's on the machine.

What is it you need from CPAN?
