That's his only choice then, to set different websites for each different
subdomain to ensure clean separation of log files. Easiest way.

UNLESS

You'd actually bother to write a background WSH job to sift out each line in
the log file and append to appropriate subdomain logs. Then you'd wanna use
regular expressions for the job.  It isn't difficult unless you've never
used regexp before.
