First write mount command before inserting the disk and see the output
then after inserting the disk again give mount command and compare the
outputs you can visualise the difference and check whether the disk is
automounted or not if not then mount it by giving the command as
narendra suggested you. Also you can give the command in etc/fstab
then after rebooting the system your disk will be automounted evertime
so you don't have to forcefully mount it everytime.
