My guess is that windows likely autocorrects the wrong entry by some mechanism or the gateway OS/software (whatever it is) corrects it by some means for the windows system. Linux treats the settings entered as correct and uses as is. (That's the way it should be, isn't it. Administrator is supposed to know the correct ones.) Regards Gajendra
