actualy aftersome careful search I found /dev/video0 . its a file, not a
directory as i initially thought. However, whenever I use camorama to open
it gives the error "Could not connect to video device (/dev/video0). Please
check connection". When I open cheese it opens a screen but it is clear that
it has not been able to detect the webcam.
