I am able to login through gui too. I successfully give my username and
password. It logs me in. Desktop screen(only background image) is shown
without icond in desktop or any other panel on the desktop. A mouse pointer
appears and but clicking(left or right button) has no effect. I pressed
Ctrl+Alt+Del and clicked shutdown(or reboot) doesnot has effect. After
logging through CUI(pressint Alt+F1) and givint reboot command as a root
reboots the system. Probbly i think my Xsession is unable to restore. Is
there any way that i can restore my previous Xsession(that was before
starting update) using a command from CUI.

Please help...

Thanx and Regards
Manohar
