Hi, I hav a new problem after installing Ubuntu 8.10 in my pc ( I had Ubuntu 8.04 running in it before but due to desktop restore problem I hav to re-install Ubuntu).
I started my installation of Ubuntu 8.10. After successful installation when it asked for restart(after removing cd if any in cd-rom). After restart it asks me for username and password. After successfully entering both a blank screen(black) with mouse cursor in the middle of screen appears. After waiting for few minutes(5-10 mins) i noticed that my keyboard is not working. After that i Hard rebooted my pc again same process occurs till i get blank screen with mouse cursor (this time light brown in color) and keyboard stops working. What may b the problem? Is it hardware problem? My hardware configuration is: Intel P4 (2.4 GHz) processor Ycom motherboard intel chipset( my original motherboard(ASROCK) got damaged so had to use this) 512+256 RAM 160 GB HDD(50 GB for Ubuntu) Ubuntu 8.04 was running successfully in the same pc.
