------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are still only humans. We can't remember all IP addresses. So, DNS is required for name resolution between domain name and IP address.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sir, I know that we are not aliens !! I know what is the purpose of a domain name ! (It masks an IP address) I was asking that a DNS Server can bind a domain name and a IP together ! Now... DNS servers are with those who host our websites ! So... The webhost will take the domain and bind it with his IP to host our website ! Now... after buying a domain the domain registrar asks for the webhost's DNS addresses ! Why ? what will the registrar do with the DNS of the webhosts ! Registrar just gives us the rights to the domain and we have to host that domain with our website ! What will that registrar do with the DNS address of the webhost ? I think now you should understand my question !!
