What i meant was that if i were a normal computer user, i would not use say
GIMP when i can easily get Photoshop through torrents etc.One possible
solution could be removing anomalies from it,adding newer features to make
it come close to Photoshop. Thus i had humbly asked on how should one proceed
towards this objective.Debugging/adding features/patches etc.Google does
it's bit by providing Google Summer of Code, which i feel is a great step
towards encouraging students to pursue open source. However apart from it
there is not enough information available.Like one would always need a
mentor while starting on projects which are already in market.
Hope now Phani finds my mail little more organized and realizes that
debuggers exist for python as well and that i am not as lazy as he may
think.
Thanks to all.Hope to get more useful inputs.
