Hi The market is flooded these days with phones containing Android and Symbian OS. 1) Both being open source, what is the difference among the two (apart from the brand name) ?
2) Which among them rates higher in performance ? (Why Android seems to take the market away from Symbian if both are Open Source and Symbian is much older ?) 3) Symbian has some restrictions on its various versions, such as S40 can't have 3rd party applications without digital signature but android doesn't seem have any (correct me if I am wrong) same for S60 I guess, why so ? 4) Do cost of phones vary due to these OS ?
