AICTE has not endorsed non-FOSS as a compulsion. They are creating a breeding ground at this moment. They are being used by the non-FOSS Software Industry Mafia. Their act is nothing new. Today mafia controls so many things in this world.
IIT and IIM have lost at least two of their brightest students - Late Mr. Satyendra Dubey and Late Mr. Manjunath in the fight against MAFIA Raaj. In case of Late Mr. Dubey, even the PM office came under suspect after his secret compliant letters were 'leaked' to Mafia. Is there some generic way or unified theory to treat MAFIA? There may be one way - 'Transparency', but then people are witty enough to even replace the audit files with the fake ones. Other possible successful way can be 'BROADCAST' of MAFIA deeds, so that they feel encircled. With deaf and dumb society, this may not work often. Are we getting into the era of software colonization? A response is necessary. Do you really think a 'DHARNA'/'MARCHING' will do the trick? We are IT people. Can't we find some more appropriate way of our counter-attack? Non-FOSS is a fork among ourselves. Its upon us to resolve this. FSF and OSI of India may be working on some action plan. 'Government Decision' is the well versed weapon of states all around the world. None of them follows even the minimum transparency and the officials don't want to come in open on any policy matter. Its a closed world. Are we running our freedom on some virtual machine? Mohit Singh -- l...@iitd - http://tinyurl.com/ycueutm
