well, am still wondering what's wrong with root login..
Anyway ,problem which i face is mainly with IRC clients.
I can't access some channels(probably one that require registeration) @
freenode server when i logged in as a root. It deny access by saying "You
are blocked from this channel... or similar..".

I face the same problem in sabayon and ubuntu.
Don't know , if it's distro related issue or generic one...
