I do not have answer to your queries but I would like to suggest followings

Please use FedoraElectronicsLab CD and then apply following command

*yum list all*

This will list all the packages in EFL, now you can search on ubuntu repo
(using apt-cache) to find out similar packages in ubuntu. One the list is
confirmed you can send me or blog it, List will be useful for creating
CollegeLevelDistro.

Thanks
