There are number of Non Profit Organizations in India like SPIC MACAY,
NGOs and Trustees etc. And they are doing business very well, they are
globally recognized, and they are brands. Now the problem lies in how
Information Technology should be deployed in their business process to make
it innovative. Thus it will reflect as a part of innovation cluster.
Lets take ten ICT NPO Ventures, The question is how IT can be helpful to
each of these venture which as a whole will reflect an innovative service
model. One example may be that collaborate all the ten ICT Ventures by
testing the current technologies they are using and suggesting them a unique
solution which may in turn generate consultancy opportunities.
Another example may be designing a service model for service promotion of
Business Oriented NPOs using e-community currency. Service users and
providers save the community currency through the exchange of services. A
System function can be designed to implement this securely on internet. A
research is being done on this.
I hope by the two example its roughly clear in your mind about what I am
talking about. Like wise there can be lot many things which IT can do and
can generate business.
