It might possibly work without it. No, Actually I did a sock's proxy tunnel. desktop was unable to resolve the ip of a website address. I set resolv.conf and this started working. many time when i run some virtual machine, then also resolv.conf get ip of main machine. how ever, I try to configure it as NAT.. -- LUG@IITD - http://lug-iitd.org/Footer
