I found such tools to be very unnatural though they might be serving the purpose of breaking the muscle memory in the fingers. I would argue instead that simply stopping using the us layout completely and looking at the keyboard while typing (yes! all websites disagree with me though) might be a quicker way of picking up dvorak. Then again, that is just from my experience. Typing things like "s.x.nd xnm" (from lesson 10 of the site) is very difficult for me. Does that mean I can't use dvorak? Nope. On their BBC test, I peak at 130+ wpm but because they keep adding unnatural ".;" in between, my speed drops (same as their weird constructions in lesson 10). Use dvorak for daily use, for writing emails, for programming. The moment you switch to us layout, even for a moment, you forget a whole lot of dvorak.
