Just like other linux users you again missed the main part - "average
users".

I'm in this group because i support FOSS and know very well about its
capabilities. But not every computer user is a developer. There are people
who use computer for "simplifying" their lives. There are people who are
not from the present technology age, and did not have any computer
knowledge earlier. For them even using Windows is not easy, forget about
opening linux terminal and typing a command to fix something. Even the blue
screen of death on Windows makes them worried. They can't really understand
how softwares actually work, but they only know the basics about using
them. Windows and Mac is much easier for these people to use in their
everyday life, as they need something that just works. And something that
they can get fixed from the small shop at the market next lane. How can you
expect such people to ask questions in forums if they don't even understand
the working of the softwares?

My Dad finds even a java based SE mobile difficult to understand. He only
knows how to use the basic functions like calls, sms etc. Do you think he
can ever understand linux working and install and fix stuff using commands?
If the windows gets a problem, he can easily get it fixed from any small
computer shop.

We can't simply miss these people.
