Its true that *nix has a a rich culture... but a culture only by adapting not by forcing adherence I think we need to evolve a new method.. I am not sure how/why.. but "cringing" may not help. For starters, maybe we can cut some slack o phone users? Those using PCs/laptops must still follow whatever is decided. After all if something is inconvenient, it shouldn't survive.
