Yeah the 'rush' is surprising because in a country like ours, where the
it takes years to implement even a good law after it is passed in the
parliament e.g. RTI but when something gets implemented even before the
bill is discussed in parliament, it has to be opposed because it is
unconstitutional and the reason is the push from the MNCs which want our
citizens' data at any cost, so that they can make trillions of money
from the Indian population and for this Mr. Nandan Nilekani has become
their agent.

If you want to know more about this project and its 'real' intentions go
have a look at[1] , there are thousand of articles read them until you
get satisfied, that yes "Aadhar" is "NIRAadhar".

yeah I didn't because, IMHO Facebook is THE place to give away your
privacy and one of the main reason to oppose UID is Privacy only, so for
me joining it would be contradictory but now a lot of time has been
wasted, would have to join Facebook for that group and try to bring all
of them to Diaspora, or some mailing list!
