I work in an IT company for a telecom client. They've over 20 thousand
field technicians who carry a laptop each. Their laptops run Windows OS.
Last week when their CTO was among us, I suggested him to migrate to Linux
as most of the applications used by their field technicians are now web
based (it was not the case earlier) and world's best browsers are
officially available for Linux. I had a discussion with him for around 10
minutes and I was able to convince him that these days Linux is as user
friendly as Windows. It is stable, more secure and free (or say cheaper, if
they opt for enterprise licence).
He has told me to prepare a formal proposal. I want the proposal to be as
effective as possible. So I request you folks to please help me in
suggesting the points which I can include in the proposal. Thanks!
