I might come across as devils advocate but here are few things we need to
account.

Downs
1) OEM version of Windows has already been bought. So migrating to Linux
entails on benefit in costing per Laptop
2) There is a step learning curve. Thus company may have to hire someone to
train and support the staff
3) Linux trained people are costlier to hire

Ups
1) Linux will make your network more secure
2) Since traffic load may go down, traffic outages will reduce
3) VPN or other network infra would be easier to support on Linux
