Well judging from the responses posted, I think everybody really wants to get together. I'm include to follow the mood of some that for the first time we just do a "get together and get acquainted type affair. Maybe some railfanning and then dinner and a slide show. Make it a one day afair to start. I would recommend a Saturday. As much as I would like to tour Beech Grove and Avon Yard, maybe we should start on a smaller scale. We should probably do this the old fashion way and just vote on it. Also, we need to pick a spot. Lafayette, Terre Haute, Indianapolis, Danville and Tolono have been mentioned. All would be good spots as there are numerous locations within each town to fan. There also needs top be a date. I think January is a little too risky with the midwest weather, plus, should it be a really cold one, I don't know that too many people would want to be out foaming for any extended period. I was thinking late February or March. In March, the days are really getting longer which presents more photo ops and the weather is usually a bit milder.
