I think spouses optional is fine .... the closest my significant other would
get to it is the mall.

I'll throw down the gauntlet here, sort of, with the first "official" vote,
although there's a caveat attached.

I vote for the last weekend of February in Lafayette. Busy railroading the
form of the Wabash, and historic railroading in the form of the Monon.

My caveat, however, regards a venue. I think a local steakhouse with a
rental room is the way to go, but since I don't live there and don't know
the eating establishments well (other than Wendy's and Taco Bell), I
challenge somebody else from the area to provide suggestions. 

(Hey, don't worry, when it comes time for a Beech Grove or Avon tour here in
Indy, I'll do my part   :)

Are there any quality eating establishments in the downtown Lafayette area
(read: near the tracks) that could accommodate us?
