Thanks for the info.  I don't think myself or my users really do anything weird in the way of different languages or strange character sets.  There has been a few cases where someone gets a weird email (sent from Outlook maybe?  or formatted strange?) or where an attachment didn't work right, and so I have to direct them to my host's squirrelmail installation, or the dev ilohamail install.

Mostly, I'm concerned that if I were to switch over, things like losing emails or things getting deleted or not sent right, but I assume these core elements are all pretty stable.  If there are upgrade instructions, perhaps I'll check out the CVS, upgrade a copy of my existing ilohamail, and test it out.  Thanks!

I'm currently on 0.8.14-RC2, and have played with the dev demo that's out
there, which looks to fix a few of the issues I've come across on the older
version.  Is IM at a point where I could upgrade my existing installation t=
o
the latest CVS version or something?  Is it stable enough, in the core
features at least?

I'm thinking I'll probably make a copy of my existing IM database, and
install the new version into a different directory and upgrade the copied
database and then test to make sure everything works.  Is there
documentation on how to upgrade from .8.14 to the .9 versions?

Regards!

Pete

Hi,

documentation to upgrade is in 0.9 tarball I think. As of stability
or so, I think that latest CVS is more stable than released 0.9
version but for both... these are develop version, there are some
problems.

As for me, I'm using ilohamail cvs on production server, but I have
problems with character sets and some other minor problems.

It is good idea in all cases...
