Hi all >partition my new drive.I wanted to keep my Linux partitions in the extended >partition, So I kept a primary partition C for Win98 and a Secondary >partition with a generous amount of space free. Interestingly enough I could not get rhl 6.0 to install in a dos extended partition. I finally deleted the extended partition from dos fdisk and then used disk druid to install linux in the free space on the disk.That worked. Before it was failing with an Invalid mount parameter command and it was trying to mount /dev/hda6 . when i removed the extented partition it succeeded in mounting the linux partition as /dev/hda5.
