Simple, you build one ... Boot the m/c from the installation CD... most distros have 
the option to build a bootdisk,
without installing anything on your HDD... and IIRC, slackware provides one of the 
nicest way to go about it among all
the other distros (comments from slackware-wallahs invited ;)
