I haven't done this in the last 10 years but General Radio Corporation
(GRC) at 6, Madan Street should have 2-sided PCB blanks and they don't
cost the earth by any means. They should also be having the right kind
of masking tape. Hot concentrated ferric chloride solution is all that
is needed to remove the unwanted (and therefore unmasked) copper. Ferric
chloride is obtainable from any shop selling chemicals (College St,
Middleton Row, and I don't know where else) and one doesn't get arrested
for buying it. Getting the etching right takes some experience, though.
All said and done, it would be best if a ready-made PCB fits (or is
patched to fit) the bill. GRC again.
