Can't you use a single floppy linux installation ? or don't they have X ? I
know there ar several linux on a floppy installations available and I am sure
someone will have the pointers ....
you could boot from the floppy and then connect to the remote machine using
NFS ...Unless of course you don't have a floppy drive..
