Dear Mr. Laha,
why dont you install a web based email system in your department at iitkgp.
you and others in the dept all could use the email system like any other on
the internet. plus the flexibility of having it in your department.
you could do it on linux. (some other unix variants too). so negligible
costs. just ask if you need any info on this.
