I need a bit of info/advice on this....

I noticed that whenever I take the upgrade path in Red Hat
distros I end up with a WHOLE lot of junk (or possibly
duplicate files ) that chews up the HDD space like nobody's
business.

This is true whether u let RH 'detect' and upgrade or
specify things ... Last time around I ended up getting rid
off everything and putting and got the new version in after
a format... But I don't see myself configuring every thing
all over AGAIN (balking at the time factor involved...)

so any ideas as to how to offset this effect ? would welcome
urls/advise/sniggers etc. leading to a solution.... I
remember that some sort of 'Multi-Language/ help files can b
got rid of or something... Anybody have ideas ???
