Both the Sis 6215C and Trident 975 as available in India have been widely
reported as cut down versions of the original chipsets: hence getting them
to work with the designated X server is itself a major task. Try X 4
failing which the Vesa Framebuffer , which works with both cards , which are
thankfully Vesa 2 compatible.
