Welcome back... I had almost given up on u as a lost
sheep... er... penguin ;)
As far as meetings are concerned -- I have been in
touch with Ranjan-da (Dr. Ranjan Ray of SXC) and
Abhijit (Bhattacharya)... I tried to contact Dr Ananda
Dasgupta of SXC... Ananda wasn't in town, he is
scheduled to be back in town by tomorrow.
I am trying to get together for a meeting tentatively
set for 10th Dec. 2000.
About tutorials:
ILUG-Goa is really doing great. During IT.COM 2000, I
had the chance to extentsively interact with the most
of the core ILUG-Goa members. These guys are really
doing some good work.
Today most people are familiar with the word "booting"
(a computer, not someone's a**)... what many ppl
doesn't know is how the word originated. It originated
from "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps".
That was the typical of the DIY (do-it-yourself)
attitude of the old-timers.
So, Sudip, don't get Partha-da wrong... sure you need
help, but you must be ready to put in *your* effort..
which usually means to RTFM :)
