fellows,
i have recently acquired a cd version of the Oxford English Dictionary. the
cd contains only 2 files. one is a small windows executable that installs
the interface for reading the diictionary. this interface then accesses the
second file on the disc, which is 600+ megabytes and has a ".dat" extension.
this dictonary is very valuable to me, and i cannot totally erase windows
from my machine until i can use this in RedHat. does anybody on the list
think it will be possible to create a linux application that can use the
.dat file? i am only learning to programme and this kind of thing is beyond
my ability.
thanks -
tathagata.
