i'm trying to install linux (redhat7.0) on my new quantam fireball 20gb hard
disk. i've assigned 2111mb for c: and 3000mb each for d:, e:, f:, g: and 5000mb
for h:. after that i tried to install linux. then i rebooted the system with
cdrom support for linux.

here goes the problems : (i've i810 mobo, 128m RAM, the following partition
i made using diskdruid)

1. i've assigned 3000mb for / and 188mb for swap. after completion of installation,
i got an error message of "exceeding cylinder 1024" and installation completed.
when i rebooted the system i saw lilo was not installed. i again rebooted with
a bootable disk, it shows error 0x10 and unable to load linux.

2. i then again tried installing /boot=5m, /usr=567m, /home=1146m, /chroot=256m,
/cache=256m, /tmp=256m, /var=256m, /=256m, swap=150m. then after selecting the
packages, it formats the partitions, and prepares for installation. after that
it shows /usr is not enough for your binaries, you need 516m for /usr. while
i already assigned 567m for that.

so what is the exact problem? is there any problem with my hard disk? can anyone
show any wayout?
